Farm Animals
Everyone enjoys our farm animals such as chickens and geese, and when last did you see a turkey or a donkey? Visit the Jersey cows at the dairy where you can see the milking process. Please feel free to feed our Donkeys some bread, and they just love chips or popcorn! Don’t forget the chickens, ducks and geese. We don’t mind you feeding the dogs or cats.

Farm Hikes, Jogging and Mountain Biking
The farm itself is great for a casual hike to the White Umfolozi River where a picnic can be enjoyed. We also have a marked circular route laid out for hikes, jogging or mountain biking. Just follow the white yellow signs along the path.

Bird Watching
Our farm hosts a rich bird-life and bird-lovers can enjoy the sights and sounds of our indigenous bird species. We have birds of three habitats on the Farm. Grass veld, Mountain & Water birds. Please feel free to wander the farm & enjoy natures open air. A Bird List is available at Reception.

Battlefields
6 Major battlefields are in close proximity and a visit to at least one of them is highly recommended. Louis, your host, is an historian and can assist you with a visit to enhance your experience that will provide for an unforgettable experience. We also have our own private museum on military history and other collectables. Phone us for an appointment. Blood River Battlefield (1836 Boer-Zulu war) 50 km is a half day outing. Nkambula Battlefield (1879 Anglo–Zulu war) 8 km, 2- 3 hour outing. Hlobane Battlefield (1879 Anglo-Zulu war) 30km, 4 – 5 hour outing. Lancaster(Vryheid)Hill (1901 Anglo Boer war). 10km, 3 – 5 hour outing. Scheepersnek Battle (1901 Anglo Boer war) 15 km, 2-3 hour outing. Bloedrivierpoort Battle (1901 Anglo Boer war) 50 km, 4-5 hour outing.

Ithala Game Reserve
Ithala Game reserve is 70 km from us. A wonderful day trip experience with plentiful game in their natural habitat. Giraffe, Rhino, Elephant and other small game can be seen. See beautiful scenery right on the plateau cliffs. It is home of the scarce Vryheidensis Aloe. It has picnic sites for braai(BBQ) and a restaurant.

Gooderson Natal Spa
Gooderson Natal Spa Hot Springs & Leisure Resort is famed for its hot mineral waters.
